Russia-Ukraine War

The Ukraine War starts in 2014 with Russia using proxies and invades Ukraine in February 2022. Russia intensifies missile attacks on Ukrainian cities causing heavy casualties and damaging infrastructure but they bleed money and human life. In less than four years, over a million Russian troops die, increasing to about thirty-thousand troops per month. In June, Ukraine drones strike against five air bases deep into Russia. As death and destruction continue, Russia captures one percent more territory in 2025 or from seven percent in 2022 to twenty. War analysts debate how long Russia and Ukraine can continue.

President Trump stops the 350 billion dollar give away. The US supplies weapons and European Union allies pay for them. The EU continues financial and military support, giving a 100-billion-dollar loan. Despite resistance, Trump is pushing presidents Putin and Zelensky to accept a ceasefire.

Behold another beast, a second, like a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh (Daniel 7:5).

Iran Nuclear Weapons, Water Shortage & Economic Collapse

Iran is a terrorist country who opposes any Israel-Arab peace, supports nations (Iraq, Lebanon, Syria) and terrorist groups (Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad) to destabilize the region and unite Muslim nations against Israel. After two years, most Arab leaders choose economic stability over Hamas.

In May 2018, US President Trump leaves the Iran Nuclear Deal and reimposes sanctions. In February 2021, President Biden removes sanctions and in August 2023, agrees to a prisons swap along with 6 billion in frozen assets for humanitarian aid. In February 2025, Trump reimposes sanctions for the maximum pressure campaign and in September, the United Nations follows.

While Iran develops their nuclear program, Israel's intelligence agency Mossad targets assassinations of military leaders and scientists that hinder their progress. In May 2024, Iran attacks Israel with missiles, rockets and drones. Israel destroys Iran's anti-aircraft defenses and infrastructure. After thirty years of talk, there is thirty minutes of action. On June 22, 2025, US attacks three Iranian nuclear sites. Two days later, Iran and Israel agree to a ceasefire. Iran is weaker by sanctions, failing proxies and public dissent.

Tehran, Iran, a metro area of 14 million, faces a sever water catastrophe. Government authorities blame climate change, recurring droughts and Donald Trump. However, forty-five years of mismanaged resources through agriculture, ineffective dams, failed urban planning and excessive pumping cause the system to collapses. The region experiences dust bowl conditions. From May through August, there were widespread protests. Repairs fix symptoms instead of a more comprehensive plan. Leadership use water as a weapon against protestors. While Iran invests in nuclear weapons and proxies, Israel uses desalination plants, water recycling and resource management turning a wasteland into a garden (Deuteronomy 29:22, 23, Ezekiel 36:35).

Since December 28, 2025, there has been widespread protests throughout the nation. Economic sanctions and forty percent inflation has wrecked the economy. Shops have problems with supplies, the Kurdish minority deal with attacks and women have restrictive Islamic rules of head scarves, jobs and feeding families. Protests are growing into riots. Even in countries without human rights, people protest incompetence when they do not have food or water.

Despite Egypt's changes in leadership in 2011-2014 and Syria's civil war in 2011-2025, the judgments of the Nile and Damascus are still coming. Russia with radical Islam (Iran, Turkey, Libya) attacks Israel seeking riches but receive judgment (Ezekiel 38:3-4,5-6, 8).

About this time of year, we remember what happened in the previous year and look forward to the new year. A part of remembering the past year is to learn from our successes and failures. Then we change priorities, make improvements and plan for success in the coming year. What a difference a year makes as God's accomplishes His plan of redemption and return.

On October 7, 2023 or 22rd of Tishri (8th Day), Hamas of Gaza (Hebrew for violence) (Islamic Resistance Movement) brutally attacks Israel. After two years, intense fighting ends and a ceasefire begins on October 13, 2025 or 21st of Tishri (Tabernacles/Great Hosanna). Under military pressure from Israel and isolation from Qatar and Turkey, Hamas agrees to release all hostages and prisoner exchanges but not to disarm Gaza or relinquish power. Egypt, Qatar, Turkey and United States signed the Declaration for Enduring Peace and Prosperity. The 20-point peace plan has four phases that are increasingly difficult to achieve (Psalm 83:4).

1. Immediate cease fire, return hostages, prisoner exchange, humanitarian aid
2. Demilitarize the Gaza strip, international stabilization force
3. Transitional government by Palestinians under international supervision, reconstruction
4. Pathway toward Palestine statehood

This 4000-year war started with Abraham's sons Ishmael (Arabs) and Isaac (Israel). For ninety years, the plan to solve every Israel-Palestine conflict starts with peace and safety and ends with dividing the land of Israel (Joel 3:2). Neither Jews nor Muslims leave the land (Zechariah 12:2, Luke 21:24). Peace in the Middle east is fragile but even more with a terrorist group.

If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more violence. If the Jews put down their weapons today, there would be no more Israel.

With the Abraham Accords, Israel makes peace with many. They work through the Gaza Peace Plan to stabilize the area and deal with Hamas. Once the covenant is made, the Antichrist confirms the covenant starting the Tribulation. People decide their own future. Those who reject mercy and grace, choose to live in rebellion against God in a dystopic society ruled by the Unholy Trinity. In the greatest ending to the greatest story, all nations fall and Jesus Christ reigns.

He [Antichrist] shall confirm the covenant with many for one seven [years]: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the [Jewish] sacrifice and the offerings to cease (Daniel 9:27).

United States

In the 2024 election, Donald Trump makes the greatest political comeback since Grover Cleveland. As seen in the first Trump term, the last Trump term is the opposite of dull as we watch The Art of the Deal in action and a lot of contention from the left.

New Pope & White Horse

After the death of Pope Francis, the College of Cardinals met to select the new leader of the Catholic Church. On May 8, 2025 after four ballots, they choose Cardinal Robert Prevost, the first American pope born in Chicago, Illinois. Bob is now called Pope Leo the XIV. During the Tribulation, the white and green horses merge into world religion. Bible prophecy tells about apostasy, the False Prophet, Mystery Babylon and Rome, Italy.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears. And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables (2 Timothy 4:3-4).

The red and green horses are merging into the Axis of Evil (China, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Turkey). The Russia-Ukraine War is pushing them together to confront the United States dominance in the world and to divide the US from Europe and other allies. North Korea sends troops and millions of artillery shells, Iran sells thousands of drones and China rebuilds Russian defense manufacturing while Russia supplies surveillance technology along with oil. After four years, Europe has decreased its oil and gas dependence on Russia but still is funding both sides of the war. Syria and Venezuela collapse impact Canada, China and Russia. Iran retaliates against protests killing tens of thousands.

In 1950, the technology age began. At first, computers did simple math and word processing but has transformed to electronic medical records, robotic car manufacturing, self-driving cars and the internet. Knowledge has doubled from every ten years to every few months.

AI takes technology to a whole new level. China and the United States control the two trillion-dollar industry. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) produces fifty percent of chips and ninety percent of premium AI chips. In 2022, they open phase one of a 165 billion dollar plant in Phoenix, Arizona. The United States is better with AI software but China is better integrating it into business. The question remains: does AI succeed in business productivity and cutting workers, become another failed technology and/or become a runaway horse?

You, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased (Daniel 12:4).

Rapture

33 + 1993 = 2026 + 7 = ~2033?

The years 2019-2026 is a possible seven-year window before the final seven as God prepares Christians for heaven and the world for the Tribulation. The day is Trumpets but no one knows the year. There was speculation that 2025 was the Rapture but not yet. We keep working, watching and waiting. Israel turns seventy-eight (Psalm 90:4, 10). Anything past September 2026 falls into the calendar margin of error.
