2026 Resurrection
There is temporary life as we know it and eternal life through believing in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord (1 Corinthians 15:21-22). Everyone dies except Enoch, Elijah and a future Rapture. Death is defeated by the cross. Our confidence in God is that the dead in Christ will resurrect to new life and the alive in Christ will be caught up or raptured without dying so all believers will be with Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18). Scripture describes various resurrections and raptures in the Bible. Along the way, prophets see visions of heaven and people come back to life. Eternal life with God is our blessed hope. (Titus 2:13).
Jesus said unto her [Martha], I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die (John 11:25-26).

The Rapture is when God transforms the living to eternal life without dying. Enoch and Elijah went from temporary life to eternal life. As a butterfly has a metamorphosis from caterpillar to cocoon to flight, Christians transform from mortal to immortal. Believers are given the Spirit at salvation and rescued from impending disaster for a world of unbelievers. Enoch and Elijah give hope for us in the Church living in the end of the End Times.
