Blood Moons: 2014-2016 Eclipses on Jewish Holy Days
January 2014
The year 2014 promises to be another big year for signs of the end of our age. This is the one hundredth anniversary of World War I. There is also a rare cluster of twelve eclipses that occur on Jewish holy days in 2014-2016. When we understand the last one hundred years, God unseals the next twenty. See Eclipse.
Malaysian Flight 370 & South China Sea
March 2014
On Saturday, March 8, 2014, Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 carrying 239 passengers departed from Kuala Lumpur on its way to Beijing, China. Instead of arriving at its destination, it was lost in what seems to be the Indian Ocean. As we watch this mystery unfold and the search that follows, there is a bigger picture than just a lost commercial aircraft or the vulnerability of air traffic security in a post-9/11 world. See Malaysia.
Ukraine: European Union Vs Russia Tug of War
May 2014
May 1 is the big Communist and Socialist holiday that celebrates laborers and the working class. In the bygone era of the Soviet Union, there was a traditional parade of tanks, missiles and thousands of goose-stepping soldiers marching through Red Square. It was an extravagant show of military power. In 2014, Russian president Vladimir Putin put on a Soviet style May Day celebration but this time he annexed Crimea, Ukraine and marched thousands of Russians troops along the Russia-Ukraine border. Ukraine has become another pawn in the European Union-Russian tug of war. See Ukraine.
Texas Convention Booth
June 2014
Rober Cook had an opportunity to be at the Texas Convention in Fort Worth, Texas. The convention was held from Wednesday, June 4 through Saturday, June 7, 2014. This was the first booth to promote 21st Century Revelation: World Wars, Iraq Wars & End Wars since it was published in July 2013. It helped that that the author lives in Fort Worth. Ministry starts at home. See Convention.
Golden Calf & Birth of the Eagle
July 2014
What does the golden calf have to do with American history? If you understand Jewish history and culture, you will learn a lot more from American history. Is the United States in the Bible? Yes! The eagle was born on a Jewish holy day. God confirms His Word through the Jewish Calendar. See Golden Calf.
Islamic State & Iraq War III
August 2014
Chapter 25, Iraq War III, describes three End Wars. The first war involves China and Iraq, the second war involves Russia and Iran and the third is Armageddon. These wars occur in the beginning, middle and end of the Tribulation. Previous articles about Malaysian Flight 370 and Ukraine describe the beginnings of these wars. America is going to fight a third war in Iraq. Since we are at the end of the End times before the Tribulation, watch as these End Wars develop into World Wars. See Islamic State.
Teshuvah: Israel's Second Chance
September 2014
The Jewish calendar has seven holy days that started as history but were fulfilled in Jesus Christ. In the early spring, the feasts of Passover, Unleavened Bread and Firstfruits were originally the tenth plague, the exodus from Egypt and crossing the Red Sea. These feasts were fulfilled on the same days as the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In the late spring on the Feast of Weeks, God gave the Torah to Moses and the children of Israel (Jacob). This feast was fulfilled on the same day God gave the Holy Spirit to the Church. In the early fall, the high holy days of Trumpets, Atonement and Tabernacles occur. Before the last three feasts are fulfilled, there is a time of
Teshuvah.
The Star Spangled Banner
Bicentennial Anniversary (1814-2014)
September 2014
On August 24, 1814 during the War of 1812, the American army was defeated at the Battle of Bladensburg in Maryland. With no resistance, the British entered Washington and burned the White House, Capitol and most federal buildings. That evening, a severe thunderstorm or hurricane with tornados blew into Washington, put out the fires and caused the British military to retreat back to their ships.
The Battle of Baltimore on September 13-15, 1814 (28th of
Elul-1st of
Tishri-
Rosh Hashanah) was the next big land and sea conflict between British and American forces. See
National Anthem.
Happy Jewish New Year 5987
September 2014
I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and Merry Christmas! It is a bit early and backward to celebrate the New Year and Christmas in September and October. However, I am referring to the Jewish holy days and not the pagan Roman calendar. According to God's time, the Jewish New Year is September 24-26 (1st-2nd of Tishri), Day of Atonement is October 3-4 (10th of Tishri) and Tabernacles (Christmas) is October 8-9 (15th of Tishri). See Jewish New Year.
Tabernacles: God with Us
October 2014
Christmas sales start earlier each year. Soon, we will celebrate Christmas in October when Jesus Christ was actually born. According to God's Word and His time, Jesus Christ was conceived on December 24-25 (
Hanukkah) and born on October 5-6 (Tabernacles). In 2014, the Day of Atonement is October 3-4 (10th of
Tishri) and Tabernacles (Christmas) is October 8-9 (15th of
Tishri). If we understand the events and timing of His First Coming, we can better understand the events and timing of His Second Coming. See
Tabernacles.
Reformation Day: Halloween Changed the World
October/November 2014
Halloween is a big holiday in America but it is much more than dressing up in costumes, getting candy and having a party. Halloween is the most important day in church history since Pentecost.
In the early 1500s, the world was in the Dark Ages. The Holy Roman Empire ruled most of central and western Europe. The Roman Catholic Church was the only church in the region. The few Bibles available were in Latin and so was church mass. Most people did not know Latin, could not read a Bible and believed whatever the priest said. See Reformation.
Hanukkah: The Prophecy of Christmas Day
December 2014
The holy days of Hanukkah are celebrated in the Jewish community but are disconnected from our Christian faith. If we understand history and prophecy, the days become much more than a holiday near Christmas. Jewish days are God's time fulfilling God's plan. See Hanukkah.
