On Saturday, March 8, 2014, Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 carrying 239 passengers departed from Kuala Lumpur on its way to Beijing, China. Instead of arriving at its destination, it was lost in the Indian Ocean. As this mystery unfolds and the search that follows, there is a bigger picture than just a lost commercial aircraft or the vulnerability of air traffic security in a post-9/11 world.

May 1 is the big Communist holiday that celebrates laborers. In the Soviet era, there was a traditional parade of tanks, missiles and thousands of goose-stepping soldiers marching through Red Square. In 2014, Russian president Vladimir Putin put on a Soviet style May Day celebration but this time he steals Crimea, Ukraine and marched thousands of Russians troops along the Russia-Ukraine border. Ukraine is another pawn in the European Union-Russian tug of war.

The Jewish calendar has seven appointed times that start as history but were fulfilled in Jesus Christ. In the spring, Passover, Unleavened Bread and Firstfruits were part of the exodus from Egypt. They were fulfilled on the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Fifty days later, God gave the Law to Moses and the Holy Spirit to the Church. In the early fall, the high holy days of Trumpets, Atonement and Tabernacles occur. Before that, there is forty days to repent and return during Teshuvah.

With no resistance, the British entered Washington and burned the White House, Capitol and most federal buildings. Christmas sales start earlier each year. Soon, we will celebrate Christmas in October when Jesus Christ was actually born. According to God's Word and His time, Jesus Christ was conceived (Hanukkah) and born on October Tabernacles. In 2014, the Day of Atonement is October 3-4 and Tabernacles is October 8-9. If we understand the events and timing of His First Coming, we can better understand His return.

In the early 1500s, central Europe was ruled by the Holy Roman Empire and the Roman Catholic Church. The few Bibles available were in Latin and so was church mass. Most people just believed what the priest said. But Martin Luther was seeking the truth. God used a reminant of believers to reform the Church.
