About this time of year, we remember what happened in the previous year and look forward to the new year. A part of remembering the past year is to learn from our successes and failures. Then we change priorities, make improvements and plan for success in the coming year.

After the election of Donald Trump, 2017 promised to be confrontational but never dull. Change started with the cabinet, federal judges, regulations and taxes. The liberal press, blue states, bureaucracy, entertainment and universities were in full revolt. Donald Trump told FBI Director James Comey, "Your fired!" Washington investigated Trump's collusion with Russia but who was investigating the investigators? Justice was usurped by the court of public opinion and the swamp is alive and well in Washington.

Blessed is the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: And he changes the times and the seasons: he removes kings, and sets up kings: he gives wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding (Daniel 2:20-21).

There were many significant events outside of Washington. In 2017, the Blood Moons continued on minor Jewish days. The Great American Eclipse traveled from Oregon to South Carolina. The Sun, Moon, planets and stars aligned into the Revelation 12 sign. Hurricanes swamped south Texas, Florida and the Caribbean. There were major earthquakes in Mexico, Iran, Italy and China. Terrorist struck in Nevada, New York and Texas.

You shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you are not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows (Matthew 24:6-8).

Close to the end of human rule, we see nations realign. While the United Kingdom brexits from the EU, both British Prime Minister Theresa May and German Chancellor Angela Meckel were weakened by elections. In the covenant series, the Syrian Civil War continued and the Islamic State retreated from Iraq. In October, Palestine factions of Fatah (Palestine Authority) and Hamas (Gaza) reconciled. Led by Senior Presidential Advisor Jared Kushner, America worked to divide Israel and security issues. The US recognized Jerusalem as Israel's eternal capital. God describes a timeline for the covenant and the Tribulation.

He [Antichrist] shall confirm the covenant with many for one week [of years]: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the [Jewish] sacrifice and the offerings to cease (Daniel 9:27).

Many fulfilled prophecies tell us we are at the end of the Church Age and End Times. The Four Horses of the Apocalypse are on the run. Five of seven trumpets already sounded. See Horses & Trumpets. North Korea continues to development nuclear weapons. There are only two outcomes. Either North Korea gives up their nuclear weapons or or uses them in World War III. Russia is back in the Middle East with Iran, Syria and Turkey. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping were strengthened by events in the Middle East and Far East that continue into 2018.

The sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice ... saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. The four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, day, month, and year to slay the third part of men. And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred million (Revelation 9:13-14, 15-16).
