A third option is the Tribulation is delayed. God's purpose is to have a relationship with people. Any delay shows God's mercy and grace but delay is limited by man's rebellion and God's six thousand years. China or North Korea starts the 6th Trumpet, World War III. See Election. The Covenant is required for the Tribulation to begin. See Covenant. The Day of Atonement begins September 30 at 6:25 PM IST and ends October 1 at twilight.

Beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night (2 Peter 3:8-10).

In 2014-2016, there was a series of twelve eclipses that occurred on Jewish holy days. Every solar eclipse occurs on the last day of the month or the first day of the new month (Rosh Chodesh). Every lunar eclipse occurs during a full moon in the middle of the month. In this series, the lunar eclipses occurred on Passover, Tabernacles, Passover, Tabernacles, Purim and 15th of Elul during the forty days of Teshuvah. In 2017-2019 there are more lunar eclipses on minor Jewish holidays. The 15th of Shavat (February 10) was the new year for trees and 15th of Av (August 7) was the Day of Love. August 21 is a solar eclipse that can be seen across America. See Eclipse.

In those days will I pour out my spirit. And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness [solar eclipse], and the moon into blood [lunar eclipse], before the great and the terrible day of the Lord come (Joel 2:29-31).

Monday, August 21, 2017 is the Great American Eclipse. The total solar eclipse passes west to east through Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina from 9:04 AM PDT to 2:50 PM EDT. A partial eclipse is visible in all fifty states. At the same time, the no moon or astronomical new moon occurs at 1:30 PM CDT. This is the eve of the 1st of Elul. Moses returned to God on Mt. Sinai to get the second set of tablets. His second coming was on the 10th of Tishri, the Day of Atonement. See Teshuvah.

The Lord said unto Moses, Hew two tables of stone like the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which you broke. And he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments (Exodus 34:1, 28).

From July to October, there are many holy days to watch. The 17th of Tammuz (Golden Calf) and the 9th of Av (Kadesh Barnea) are historic days for Israel and the World. See Days of Decision. The forty days of Teshuvah are also historic days. World War II started (17th of Elul), the atomic bomb dropped on Nagasaki, Japan (1st of Elul), on 9/11 Islamic terrorist attacked (23rd of Elul) and Theodore Roosevelt became President (1st of Tishri). God tells us the future and many events occur on Jewish holy days. 

God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years (Genesis 1:14).

Are all these solar and lunar eclipses on Jewish holy days just regular occurrences or something more? The last three series of eclipses occurred near the voyage of Columbus, the birth of Israel and the Six Days War.

•  1493-1494 - Persecution of the Jews by Spain and first voyage of Columbus in August 1492
•  1949-1950 - Israel becomes a nation in May 1948
•  1967-1968 - Jerusalem is reunited under Israeli control in June 1967
•  2014-2016 - Last cluster of eclipses

Is the series of eclipses just a signs or a specific sign for the Tribulation? 1492, 1949 and 1967 were an expansion of land with the colonization of the Americas and the expansion of Israeli boundaries. Psalm 83 describes a war between Israel and her Arab cousins of Lot (Jordan), Saudi Arabia (Ishmael) and Esau (Palestine). The Arabs plan is to destroy Israel however Israel is expanded while Damascus and Edom are destroyed. This war could occur right before the Tribulation or is part of the Russian-Islamic War during the second half of the Tribulation. See Eclipse Update and Iran Israel.

A second option is the Tribulation begins. The Feast of Trumpets occurs on the day no one knows but astronomists calculated the movement of the earth and moon. The next astronomical new moon is September 20, 8:29 AM IDT. Add ~18 hours for the new moon to be visible which is September 21 at 2:29 AM. Rosh Hashanah begins September 21 at 6:37 PM and ends September 23 nightfall. The autumn equinox occurs during those two days on September 22 at 11:01 PM. According to various scriptures, Trumpets is the Rapture Day. We know the day and the season but still do not know the year. See Trumpets.

These eclipses are a sign of the Tribulation but when? Watch while we working together to encourage other Christians, make disciples and reach out to the lost until Jesus Christ comes on that glorious Rosh Hashanah day.
