The Tribulation lasts seven years and there are three wars. World War III is the 6th Trumpet between China, United States and India. During the last 3½ years, the Unholy Trinity of Satan, Antichrist and False Prophet reign as war moves to Israel and Jerusalem. World War IV is Gog and Magog when Russia and radical Islam (Iran, Turkey, Libya) attack Israel. World War V begins at Armageddon and ends at the Second Coming with the 7th Seal, Trumpet, Bowl (lightning, earthquakes, great hail).

        

This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go into heaven (Acts 1:11).

The Tribulation ends with Armageddon and invasion of Jerusalem. (Revelation 16:16). Antichrist unites all nations of the world against Israel as they meet at the valley of Megiddo. Although the fighting lasts about two months, it will be brutal. Half of Jerusalem is taken into captivity but the city remains. Two-thirds of Israel dies but one-third survives (Zechariah 13:8-9). The armies of the Antichrist will have apocalyptic consequences as the enemy of God is annihilated (Revelation 14:19).

On the 10th of Tishri (Atonement) Jesus Christ returns to earth. During His first coming, Jesus enters Jerusalem riding a donkey as suffering Savior. During the second coming, Jesus rides a white horse as conquering King of Kings. He assembles the Saints in heaven and on earth to witness the events unfold but the battle is the Lord's.

I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he does judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God (Revelation 19:11-13).

Then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other (Matthew 24:30-31).

Jesus Christ returns to Bozrah in Jordan first for Judah (Isaiah 63:1-2, Zechariah 12:7). Then He will stand on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem as the mountain splits creating a great valley.
 
His feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south (Zechariah 14:4).

God's purpose is the redemption of humanity. The Tribulation is a time of choosing: follow God and have a relationship with Him or follow Antichrist and be eternally separated from God. Despite judgment from God, grace and mercy are still available. When Jesus returns to Jerusalem, Tribulation Saints and Israel believe. Followers of Antichrist see Jesus and mourn but without repentance. On Atonement, the High Priest enters the Holy of Holies and offers a bull, lamb and goat for Israel's sin but on this day, Jesus returns as the High Priest and Israel is saved both physically and spiritually.

I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn (Zechariah 12:10).

I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God (Zechariah 13:9).

There is lighting, thunder, earthquakes and hail described in the 7th seal, 7th trumpet and 7th bowl (Revelation 8:1, 5, Revelation 11:15, 19, Revelation 16:17-18, 20-21). See Revelation Views. Antichrist and False Prophet are captured and thrown into the Lake of Fire. The army of Antichrist along with world government is defeated (Revelation 14:15, 19). Mystery Babylon falls and Satan is bound for a thousand years (Revelation 20:2).

Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army. But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur (Revelation 19:19, 20).

Jesus Christ returns at the Second Coming to rescue the remnant of Israel and Tribulation Saints, defeats Antichrist's rebellion and sets up His kingdom. Tabernacles is the coronation of Jesus Christ as King of Kings. He restores the earth, sets up His kingdom for the Millennium and judges the nations.

Before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left (Matthew 25:32-33).

7th Trumpet: In the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he has declared to his servants the prophets (Revelation 10:7).
7th Bowls: The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done (Revelation 16:17).
