When we understand the last one hundred years, God unseals the next twenty.
The year 2016 was a year of political surprises. It started back in March 2015 with the reelection of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Then twenty-four major candidates declared their run for the presidency. In May 2016, the British voted to Brexit the European Union. In July, Democrats nominate the establishment politician and Republicans nominate the anti-establishment politician but sixty percent of the people disapprove of both choices. In November, the Cubs won the World Series after 108 years so anything is possible. Finally, the brutal war of words came to surprising end with the upset election of the ultimate outsider with the unconventional campaign. It proves that someone can lose all the national polls and win the presidency. It also proves the Bible is right and we may have elected the Tribulation president.

Each election cycle, we are told the election is the most important election. Then four years later we are again told that election is the most important election. But the 2016 election may be the most important election ever held. The world is preparing for the Tribulation.

A strange thing happened on the way to the next president. Democrats select an establishment politician with socialist policies. Republicans select an anti-establishment businessman with populist policies. The November election is a choice between political experience maintaining the status quo or corporate experience changing directions. The next presidential term may answer two prophesy questions.

Those in favor of leaving claim the EU weakens national sovereignty over trade and immigration while adding another layer of bureaucracy. Those in favor of staying claim the EU increases UK influence in trade, national security and world affairs but leaving would impact the nation's economy. Prophecy describes the relationship between the UK and EU in the End Times.

The 17th of Tammuz is an infamous day in Jewish history. After forty days on Mt. Sinai, Moses leaves of God and descends to the people. He sees the people worshipping the golden calf, gets really angry and throws down the tablets which break into pieces. On this day in 586 BC the Babylonians and in 70 AD the Romans breached the walls of Jerusalem. Three weeks afterward, the city and Jewish temple were destroyed.

It is strange that of the twenty-three leading presidential candidates, the political parties select the worst two nominees. 2016 was a presidential election of many firsts. This was the first time a woman and businessman were nominated from a major party. The most importantly first of 2016 is that both candidates' disapproval rating hovered around sixty percent.

In the 2016 Presidential Election, businessman Donald Trump upset former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Throughout the year, Clinton led the polls but on Election Day, Trump held all 2012 red states and broke through the blue wall and kept majorities in the House and Senate. While this was a shock to the media, the Bible describes the next war between the US and China not Russia.
