Revelation 13 describes a political, religious and economic multinational union. This union comes out of a revived Roman Empire. Over the years many leaders including Charlemagne, Napoleon and Hitler have tried to unite Europe by war and failed. After World War II, countries of the former Holy Roman Empire united in peace which transformed into the European Union. The EU deals with the economy, trade, agriculture, energy, environment, transportation, foreign policy and defense. However, the weak defense force was merged into the EU. In June 2018, French President Emmanuel Macron proposed a rapid response force of ten nations.

This image's head was of fine gold [Babylon], his breast and his arms of silver [Media-Persia], his belly and his thighs of brass [Greece], His legs of iron [Rome], his feet part of iron and part of clay [European Union]. You saw until a stone [Kingdom of God] was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and broke them to pieces (Daniel 2:32-34).

What is this sovereign remedy? It is to re-create the European family, or as much of it as we can, and to provide it with a structure under which it can dwell in peace, in safety and in freedom. We must build a kind of United States of Europe.

Daniel 7 describes animals which are national symbols of four powerful nations that exist at the end of the Church Age. The lion is the United Kingdom. The eagle's wings are the United States. The wings were torn from the lion on July 4, 1776 or 17th of Tammuz. See Golden Calf. Russia is the bear. Germany is the leopard. The four heads are the empires of Holy Roman, German, Nazi and current Federal Republic. Since 800, Germany has pushed unity in Europe.

Daniel spoke and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea. And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another. The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings. And behold another beast, a second, like a bear. After this I beheld, and another, like a leopard, After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly (Daniel 7:2-4, 5-6, 7).

Since World War II, we have seen the slow development of the iron and clay European Union. The British lion's mouth is English, the language of capitalism. The Russian bear's feet are communism/socialism. The leopard's wound was healed when East and West Germany were reunited on October 3, 1990, or the 15th of Tishri (Tabernacles). Antichrist rules the beast.

I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads [Germany] as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. (Revelation 13:1-3).

What we want is a man of sufficient stature to hold the allegiance of all people, and to lift us out of the economic morass into which we are sinking. Send us such a man and be he god or devil, we will receive him.

Since Adolph Hitler, Joseph Stalin and Mao Zedong ended in death and destruction, maybe the world needs a despotic tyrany with absolute power possessed by Satan to be the savior of the world and solve all the world's problems. Revelation describes the horific results of that fatal decision

Daniel and Revelation describe the ten toes, horns and crowns. The European Union grew from six to twenty-eight nations. While the United Kingdom voted to Brexit, they will return to the EU. In 1949, NATO formed to protect Europe from Soviet aggression but today, the EU seeks control without US interference. In 1954, the Western European Union developed as a ten-nation military force but merged into the EU. French president Emmanuel Macron has reorganized ten nations into a rapid deployment force independent of the EU. The countries include eight of the original WEU members. Greece and Luxembourg were replaced by Estonia and Denmark. In June 2018, ten nations agreed to the proposal. At the beginning of the Great Tribulation, ten kings give power to the Antichrist who rules this lion/bear/leopard forty-two months. Finally, human government ends as Jesus Christ defeats the Antichrist and reigns on earth.

The ten horns which you saw are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
(Revelation 17:12-14).

Since Adolph Hitler, Joseph Stalin and Mao Zedong rules ended in death and destruction, world leaders double their efforts to find Antichrist, a despotic tyrant, possessed by Satan and give him absolute authority to become king of the world, their god and savior. That fateful decision causes three nuclear world wars (China, Russia, Armageddon) that decimate the world's population. Imagine no God, no heaven, no countries, no religion, no possessions and people living for today in a hellish earth. Prophecy describes God's plan of redemption for Tribulation Saints and Jews but He pours out wrath on those who reject His mercy and grace and rebel against His sovereignty over the world.

God told His people what will happen and when. The world was created in six days and God rested the seventh day. Man rules the earth  and that rule is almost over. It is amazing how many Scriptures are fulfilled during our lifetime before the Rapture.
