The next question is when? July and August reminds us of an ominous Jewish time. From the 17th of
Tammuz (Golden Calf) to the 9th of
Av (Kadesh Barnea), is a three week period of mourning. In the wilderness, the children of Israel rebel against God by worshipping a golden calf. A year later they refused to enter the Promised Land. On these same days, the Babylonians and Romans breeched the walls of Jerusalem and destroyed the temples. Most bad things that happen to Israel and the world take place during this period. On the 9th of
Av, the Crusades, Holocaust, World War I and Iraq War I (Persian Gulf War) began on the 9th of
Av. In the future, two of the three End Wars might just begin on the 9th of
Av. See
Jewish Calendar.
