After
World War I when Palestine was under British control, the United States encourages a new Jewish state. In 1922, Congress passes a
resolution supporting "the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people". Since 1948, Israel-Palestine peace has been a primary American foreign policy goal for the Middle East. Despite plenty of effort and proposals, the peace process stalls out during wars and conflicts in the region.
God that made the world and all things, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwells not in temples made with hands; And has made of one blood all nations of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined the appointed times, and the boundaries of their lands; That they should seek the Lord (
Acts 17:24, 26-27).
Harry Truman
After
World War II, many countries wanted to give Israel reparations because of the Jewish Holocaust caused by Germany. On the 5th of
Iyar (May 14, 1948), the British mandate ended and
Israel declares
independence. Despite opposition, Baptist Harry Truman leads the United States to be the first country to recognize Israel. The Arab-Israeli War begins one day later. After the war, Israel controls most of the territory (Green Line) while Egypt takes Gaza and Jordan takes Judea and Samaria (West Bank). During this time, Truman focuses on containing the Soviet Union and access to Middle East oil.
This government has been informed that a Jewish state has been proclaimed in Palestine, and recognition has been requested by the provisional government thereof. The United States recognizes the provisional government as the de facto authority of the new State of Israel.

Harry Truman
Dwight Eisenhower
Eisenhower balances American interests in the Middle East while promoting peace and stability in the region. In 1956 during the
Suez Crisis, Egypt seizes control of the Suez Canal from the British and French and blocks Israel from the Straight of Tiran so France, United Kingdom and Israel invade Sinai. The United States and Soviet Union force Israel to retreat. The Eisenhower Doctrine promises military and economic aid to Middle East countries that need help resisting communist aggression.
John Kennedy
Kennedy is committed to Israel's national security. He ends the arms embargo and establishes the US-Israeli military alliance. He also confronts Israel about their nuclear development. After his death, American Jews build a memorial west of Jerusalem.
Dedicated as an eternal expression of American-Israel friendship on the fourth of July, 1966…

Lyndon Johnson
Johnson policy favors Israel but tries to stay neutral during war. In 1964 the PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization) forms. In 1967, Egyptian President Gamal Nasser closes the Straits of Tiran. In the Six Days War, Egypt, Jordan and Syria fight Israel. On June 7, 1967 (28th of Iyar/Ascension), IDF (Israel Defense Force) paratroopers land near Jerusalem's Old City and secure the Temple Mount which had been under Gentile control since 63 BC. In less than a week, Israel captures Gaza (Egypt), Judea and Samaria (West Bank of Jordan), Golan Heights (Syria), Sinai (Egypt) and reunited Jerusalem. After the war, Egypt allies with the Soviet Union.
Richard Nixon
Nixon has better results with Communist China than peace between Egypt and Israel. In 1969, Yasser Arafat becomes leader of the PLO which blocks peace for the next thirty-five years. On October 6 or 10th of Tishri 1973, Egypt and Syria attack Israel on the Day of Atonement. The Soviets send weapons to Egypt and Syria and the US send weapons and supplies to Israel, guaranteeing their stability. The Yom Kippur War starts as Egypt advancing into Sinai but after Israeli gains, war ended without any change of territory. Because of American support for Israel, OPEC (Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries) increases oil prices and declare an embargo. The oil crisis lasts five months.
Gerald Ford
After the Yom Kippur War and disagreement with Israel's occupation of the Sinai, Ford reassess the relationship with Israel. In 1975, the US negotiates an agreement between Egypt and Israel to strengthen the 1973 ceasefire. United Nations Resolution 3379 declares "Zionism is a form of racism."
Jimmy Carter
On September 17, 1978 (15th of Elul), the Camp David Accords creates a framework for ending the 1948 war between Egypt and Israel. In March 1978, the Egypt-Israel Peace Treaty, Israel withdraws from Sinai and Egypt keeps the region demilitarized. Egypt is the first Arab nation to recognize Israel. Despite Carter's support, there was no progress toward a Palestinian state. On October 6, 1981 or 7th of Tishri (Days of Awe), Egyptian President Anwar Sadat is assassinated by Egyptian Islamic Jihad.
Ronald Reagan
Reagan strengthens military ties with Israel, increased weapon sales, holds joint military exercises and stockpiles weapons in Israel. During the 1982 Lebanon War, the PLO attacks Northern Israel so Israel invades Lebanon and removes the PLO. America is part of a peace keeping force during the Lebanese Civil War. On April 18, 1983 (5th of Iyar), Islamic Jihad bombs the the United States embassy in Beirut. In 1985, Iranian and Syrian backed Hezbollah fights Israel and Lebanese Christians and war continues fifteen years. In 1987, the First Intifada in Israel lasts five years. Reagan ends the Cold War and many Eastern European Jews migrate to Israel.
George Bush
During Iraq War I (Persian Gulf War) after Iraq invaded Kuwait, Bush urges Israeli restraint to protect the Middle East coalition again Iraq. The US rushes defensive Patriot missiles to protect Israel from Scud missiles. In 1991, the Madrid Conference gathers Israel, Jordan with Palestine, Lebanon and Syria together then follow up with bilateral and unilateral talks that leads to Oslo. China and seventeen other countries recognize Israel because of negotiations and collapse of the Soviet Union. The US links financial aid to Israel with a freeze of new settlements in Judea and Gaza so Israel stopped most new settlements.
Bill Clinton
Clinton actively pursues Middle East peace. In the 1993 Oslo Accords, Israel agrees to withdraw from Gaza and Jericho and the Palestinian Authority gains limited self-government. In 1994, Jordan and Israel agree to diplomatic recognition. In the 1995 Oslo II Accord, Palestinians rules eight major cities in Judea. A month later, Israel Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin is assassinated. In 1998, terrorist attacks so the peace process stops and Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu halts implication. At the 2000 Camp David Summit, Clinton came closest to final peace. Israel PM Ehud offers ninety-six percent of Judea and Samaria but Yasser Arafat said no. The Second Intifada began and lasted five years.
George W. Bush
During Bush, the war on terrorism took priority over peace. During the Second Intifada, Israel built a security barrier to protect Israeli settlements. To get Arabic countries to support Iraq War II, Daniel's Quartet on the Middle East proposes the Roadmap for Peace. After Saddam Hussein and the Sunni minority were overthrown, Shites rule Iran and now Iraq. In 2004, Yasser Arafat dies and Mahmoud Abbas becomes leader. In 2005, Israel evacuates settlements in Gaza and Samaria. In 2006 Palestinian elections, radical Fatah (Palestinian National Liberation Movement) lost to more radical Hamas (violence, Islamic Resistance Movement). Hamas rules Gaza and Fatah rules Judea. In 2006 Lebanon War, Hezbollah and Israel fight. In 2008, the Gaza War started with Hamas firing rockets into Israel.
There is a direct correlation between "land for peace" and judgment from God. In August 2005, the Quartet pressures Israel to evacuate twenty-one settlements in Gaza and four settlements in Samaria. On August 13, 2005 or the 9th of Av (Kadesh Barnea), Tropical Depression Ten forms and dissipates. On August 23, remnants of the storm develop into Tropical Depression Twelve. Hurricane Katrina crosses south Florida and devastates the upper gulf coast states of Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi. Later that year, PM Sharon suffers a severe stroke. In 2006, Bush loses majorities in the House and Senate. The consequences of Middle East peace are the Tribulation, the fall of America and Armageddon.
I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat [in Jerusalem]. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning my inheritance, my people Israel, for they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land. (Joel 3:2 NIV).
Barack Obama
Obama was more supportive of Muslims over Christians and Jews. This and expanding settlements in Judea strains relations with Israeli PM Netanyahu. In 2011 Arab Spring, protests and riots throughout the region led to rulers overthrown in Egypt, Libya and Tunisia while civil wars start in Syria and Yemen. Red lines are ignored in Syria. Obama withdraws from Iraq so the Islamic State fills the void and controls eastern Iraq and western Syria. In 2012 and 2014 Israel-Gaza conflicts, Hamas fires rockets into Israel. In 2015, Netanyahu spoke to the US Congress against Obama's Iranian policy. The Iran Nuclear Agreement cancels oil sanctions and gives ~100 billion frozen assets, empowering our Shite enemies (Iran, Iraq, Syria) but harms our Sunni allies (Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia). In 2016, Obama allows UN Resolution 2334, making Israeli settlements in Judea and Samaria illegal.
Donald Trump
Trump moves the US embassy to Jerusalem. He recognizes Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights and exits the Iran Nuclear Agreement. Jared Kushner, orthodox Jew and son-in-law, is assigned to Middle East peace and trade. "The deal of the century" is a new take on the two-state solution. Trump Peace Plan is called Peace to Prosperity which includes an economic (June 22, 2019) and political plan (January 28, 2020). Israel and Palestine divide the land into separate nations without uprooting people. In September 2020, Jordan valley annexation is delayed but the Abraham Accords establishes Israeli peace, trade and diplomatic relations with many. As part of prophecy fulfilled, Trump is preparing the way for the Tribulation.
Joe Biden
Biden's foreign policy supports democracy and terrorists in the Middle East while weakening our Sunni allies (Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia). They revive the Iran Nuclear Agreement by canceling sanctions on Iran oil and giving billions of dollars in frozen Iranian money for American hostages. Iran is a terrorist nation that finances Syria, Lebanon and proxies Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon and Houthis in Yemen while destabilizing the Middle East. After Afghanistan, Biden's war through weakness brings death and destruction to Russian-Ukraine, Iran-Israel and the invasion of America.
On Saturday, October 7, 2023 (8th Day of the Assembly), Hamas brutally targets civilians of Israel and other nations, shot 6000+ missiles, massacred over 1,400, raped women and took 240+ hostage (Psalm 83:4). The United States supports Israel by sending two aircraft carrier strike groups but restricting Israel's war on terrorism and push the two-state solution. Protestors and rioters at major US universities harass Jews and promote antisemitism on campuses. In December 2024, after Russia's war on Ukraine and Iranian proxies Hamas and Hesbollah weaker, Syrian's evil dictator Assad 's regime was replaced by Islamic extremist group Tahrir al-Sham.
Donald Trump
Trump is back again with a good relationship with Israeli PM Netanyahu and former Governor Mike Huckabee as US ambassador to Israel. He plans a golden age for America and ending Israel's war with Hamas terrorists. On June 22, 2025, US forces attacked three Iranian nuclear facilities which was the shortest war in American history. On October 13, the Gaza War ends and the 20-point pleace plan begins. Trump expands the Abraham Accords to have peace with many Arab countries in the Middle East but dividing Israel leads to the Tribulation, fall of America and Armageddon (Joel 3:2).
After seventy-seven years, Israel has been a strong democracy and important ally in the Middle East. Jerusalem, the City of Peace, has been anything but peaceful. As US presidents and diplomats divide Israel, God will make this path to peace become even more treacherous.
Behold, I [God] will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth are gathered together against it (Zechariah 12:2-3).
