The Redeemer (First Coming)
Virgo is the Virgin holding wheat (Spica) and branch (Tsemech) in autumn. Mary gave birth to Jesus and Israel gave birth to the Church (
Isaiah 7:14). The decans are Coma, (woman with infant/Desired One), Centaurus (dart piercing a victim) and Bootes, (Great Shepherd, Harvester). Every Jewish civil new year on Trumpets, the woman is clothed with the Sun, the Moon at her feet and nine stars are in her crown. On September 23, 2017, the
Revelation 12 sign was fulfilled in the heavens with three additional wandering stars: Mercury, Venus, Mars. Jupiter moved forward and back in retrograde motion in Virgo's womb about forty weeks as Saturn (Satan) lies in wait near Scorpio (
Revelation 12:1-2, 3-4, 5-6).
Throughout the year, the stars tell the story of Jewish feasts. During the month of
Tishri, the Moon is in Virgo on
Trumpets, Aquarius (water bearer/pouring wrath) on
Atonement, Aries (ram) on
Tabernacles and Cancer (sheep pen) on the 8th Day (
Leviticus 23:36).
Libra is balancing scales, a symbol of justice and judgment (
Daniel 5:27). The brightest star in the lower scale is Zuben al Genubi, the price which is deficient. The brightest star in the upper scale is Zuben al Shemali, the price which covers (
1 Corinthians 6:20). The decans are Crux (cross), Lupus (victim, pierced to death), Corona (crown). At Jesus Christ's first coming, He wore a crown of thorns but at His second coming, He wears many crowns (
Matthew 27:29, Revelation 19:12).
Scorpio is the scorpion, a symbol for Satan, the adversary (
Genesis 3:1). The brightest star is Antares, the wounding. There are many forms of serpent constellations: Draco, Medusa's head, Hydra, Scorpio, Serpens. The decans are Serpens (serpent), Ophiuchus (wrestling with the serpent) and Hercules, (mighty man). While the scorpion attacks Ophiuchus' foot, he crushes the serpent's head (
Genesis 3:15).
Sagittarius is the archer. As a centaur, he has a duel nature of a sacrificial animal and conquering king (
Revelation 5:5, 6). The decans are Lyra (harp), Ara (alter) and Draco (dragon cast down). The archer aims for Antares, the wounded heart of Scorpio. By defeating the dragon, Jesus Christ is victorious and deserves our praise. On
Hanukkah, the Sun is in Sagittarius (archer) and the Moon is in Libra (scales).
